To the Players of the 2009 FullTiltPoker.net World Series of Golf,

For the third year in a row you have made our event the most incredible event in Las Vegas. Like Terry said last night, we are humbled. We appreciate you making your way into Las Vegas from Chicago, California, Texas, New Zealand, England, the Bahamas (yeah Jeff, even you guys from Jersey) and all the other wonderful places you come from. You remind us that we have such a unique group of people. 

I also want to thank our sponsors, like Full Tilt Poker and your poker players who came out and had fun and played some great golf. Emily Jillette, Daniel Negreau, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, David Benyamine, Phil Ivey, Phil Gordon, Erick Lindgren, Blair Rodman and all the other poker players who came out and supported us. WGN America, we are all very excited to see our event on your station. 13 episodes of the greatest golf format ever played is going to be a lot of fun to watch (Starts June 28th 2009). Paiute Golf Course., you guys did a wonderful job with the course this year, thank you again to all of you for maintaining a beautiful course. Your staff is the best in the business and made everyone feel at home. Terry Fator, for taking time out of your schedule to share two nights with us was great (make sure you see Terry’s show when you come to Vegas, you will love it). It has been another great year here. From the opening night White Party to the closing party at Bare and all the golf, gambling and fun we had in between. On behalf of all the World Series of Golf staff, I say “Thank You. Thank you for your participation, enthusiasm and friendships; Jody Garaventa, our 2009 Champion, Andrew “AJ” Johnson, our 2008 Champion and Mark Ewing our 2007 Champion (thanks for your kind words last night – I’m getting all misty), we say “Thank you”.
